Your Newnan Eye Doctor

Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.

Our optometrist takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Meet your doctor:

Kent Alan Voyce, O.D.

Dr.Kent Voyce received his undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 1985. He then returned to Chicago, IL to complete his doctorate graduate degree at Illinois College of Optometry. After the completion of his degree, he became one of approximately 10% of all optometrists to complete an additional residency. This year was completed at Westside VA Medical Clinic in Chicago. Dr. Voyce then moved to Miami, Florida where he practiced in a multi-specialty clinic and was an assistant professor of optometry at Nova Southeastern School of Optometry. He opened his practice inside the Walmart Vision Center in Newnan in 1996 and practices here exclusively. He resides in Newnan with his wife and son.
Dr. Voyce has extensive experience in family eye care, including routine eye care for adults and pediatric patients, contact lens fittings, eyeglass examinations, and eye surgery co-management. Dr. Voyce’s training, hospital-based residency, and experience also allow him to expertly diagnose, treat, and manage all eye disease conditions. He has a state licensure in both Georgia and Florida. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, and Metro Atlanta Optometric Society.

Per CDC guidelines, we will once again be scheduling routine eye examinations for glasses and contact lenses. We thank all of you for your patience and understanding in postponing non-essential care over the last six weeks. Of course, we continue to be available for any medically related eyecare needs. The health and safety of our staff and patients continue to be of the utmost importance, so we will be using CDC recommended precautions for cleaning and social distancing. We ask that you wear a mask or face covering into the office. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, we ask you to postpone your appointment.

Thank you for your support and for allowing us to serve you and your families.

We look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Best regards,

Dr. Kent Voyce
